Today is the first day when I have really been tempted to take all of my money out of the stock market and hide it in a mattress. I think it's only a matter of time before we enter into a post-apocalyptic world full of mutants and Wall Street Types.
But it doesn't have to be all bad, now does it? This would finally allow me to apply my zombie survival guide skills.
My first step will be setting up a compound in the West Virginia mountains -- a few hundred acres, geographically protected. Land is selling for about a thousand an acre right now, but I bet we can probably get it for half that pretty soon.
Then we'll build a Victorian-style compound with lovely cottages for each member of our little militia. Here is one that would be right up against the mountain.
This is just the bare bones idea. There would be a main compound building where meetings could be held, and a few small non-denominational places of worship. Maybe even a one-room schoolhouse.
I'm sure that you will all have your own compounds, but you are also welcome to join ours if yours gets overrun by investment bankers.
